Once we've had a chat over the phone and I know what kind of photographs you are hoping for, a shoot usually takes around an hour and half but this is always flexible depending on your dog's energy and age .. and possibly the weather! I would much rather spend longer with you to be able to capture your dog in a way I feel she deserves rather than clock-watching and putting pressure on us all to "get the job done" .. that just isn't my way. Once I get back home, I will spend the following few days editing your images to make sure I can present them to you looking as good as they possibly can. My style is as natural as the surroundings we were in and my finishing process will produce images that reflect that. There is no heavy editing, with the exception of one or two images converted to black and white if it suits that particular capture. Colours will remain true and authentic to the scene.
This is a good bit, even if I do say so myself .. I am based near Blandford Forum which is fairly central within Dorset. Because of this, I am happy to cover a wide area for your shoot. Meaning, I'm happy to drive up to an hour to get to where you want me to capture the images YOU are looking for. No extra travelling costs within that hour's drive. This means we can go to the beach (Sandbanks), the woods (Wareham Forest, for example), heathland (Purbecks), wide open hills (Fontmell/Melbury Downs) or your very own garden! If there's somewhere you love that I haven't mentioned here just let me know. Obviously, I have to be realistic about my business costs so although I'm very happy to travel further than an hour from home, I will need to charge for that service at £1 per return mile from Blandford Forum (that bit is important to know).
I generally refer to photography of your dogs, however, I am also very happy to photograph your horse, your cat or all of them together for a complete family portrait .. and would always encourage you to join in as well. A photo shoot with your horse will not include a lengthy walk but can be at the yard or in the field, although if you'd like to tack up and head out along your favourite route that is no problem at all.
I deliberately set out to keep my pricing simple! A deposit of £50 secures your chosen date with the remaining balance paid two days before the shoot.

I then produce around 20-30 photographs in an online gallery on my website for you to view. You then select your favourite 5 which I will email to you in low resolution format so you can share on your social media feeds etc. You can also choose 1 image for me to print and mount at 10"x8" ready for you to drop into a frame and hang on your wall. That's it! Simple! One "package", one price.
I do of course offer the option for you to have more of your images printed and framed. I use a very high-end printing company who use exquisite quality paper, mount boards and frames because all of those things DO make a difference. Naturally, there are different sizes on offer and so that is where our conversation can begin with regard to costs for your prints. All prints will be in high resolution (so the images I will send to you will not produce the same quality if printed but are perfect for sharing around our online world). I have samples to show you what you can expect from a printed image so there is no risk to you during your choosing process. Framed print prices start from around £65 for a 12"x8" print (16"x12" finished product) but clients often take the opportunity to make the most of their photography session and look to make a real statement with a beautiful piece of wall art that they will treasure for many years. Big prints, framed canvas prints, multi-aperture prints can all be produced for you.
I appreciate that budgets vary and not everyone even actually wants to have just one or two framed prints, therefore, another option you may like to consider is a gift box containing ALL the images from your website gallery. You then have the choice to frame a number of individual prints or put together your own collage. All prints will be 6"x4" and presented in a pretty box that closes with a ribbon to keep your photographs safe. This option can be yours for just £50

By engaging me in a photography shoot you are agreeing for me to use any or all of your images on my social media feeds or in print at shows/exhibitions to showcase my work.
A £50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking please to secure your chosen date for our shoot. The balance is to be paid 2 days before the shoot takes place. No images will be sent to you unless the full balance has been cleared.
I reserve the right to change/amend my pricing at any time. I will contact you to discuss this in full if it will adversely affect your booking.
The client expressly releases me from all claims, damages and liabilities that may occur during a shoot. Your animal's welfare will always be paramount and I reserve the right to postpone the shoot at any point if I feel that welfare is becoming compromised in any way.
I retain all copyright on all images taken during a shoot. The client may use any given images for their own, personal use but will not be permitted to enter any images into competitions or to reproduce those images for sale as their own work. No images from my website may be downloaded or screenshot to be used by any persons.
Payment for services should be made via BACS or cash.
Where special offers or discounts are offered, I reserve the right to limit my travel distance to within 10 miles of Blandford Forum. In such circumstances, further distances may incur additional mileage fees at £1 per return mile. This will be at my discretion but will be discussed with my client at the time of booking.
