About me
OK, so I'm a bit of an animal nut! I love dogs (obviously), cats, horses, wildlife ..everything. And I love photography so when I get to combine the two I am in my element. When I can't photograph animals, I love to capture landscapes with sunrises and sunsets a particular favourite. I have had my own dogs for many years and I'd like to think I've got a reasonable understanding of their behaviour and body language to be able to photograph them in such a way as to capture their personality and character to a level that makes for some lovely images. I would love to do the same for you and your dog.
My style has developed to be relaxed and natural with a huge enjoyment for the great outdoors and the way dogs behave within it. I have learnt to capture their natural behaviour and joie de vivre (with a little occasional bribery!) to make images that have become treasured memories and admired wall art. My preference is for natural light in an area your dog feels happy and relaxed. I am happy to travel to you and join you on a favourite walk, however, I have specifically researched some locations in my own area that offer some nice opportunities for photography and some nice "props" (perhaps a bench, a pleasant woodland area etc etc) which will save time as I won't need to scout out some nice compositions in an area I don't know well. It's just a thought, but it means I can get straight on with capturing your dog because I already know what will work best in the conditions we have on that day. There will be a walk and we will interact with your dog and ask her to pose a bit and smile for the camera. This will obviously fail mostly and so I will capture her running through the grass and doing her own thing instead! There is no point in getting stressed and annoyed, she will co-operate when she is ready for some still shots and in the meantime, we'll work with whatever else she offers!
If you really would prefer me to travel to you then that's fine and I'm happy to do that. If you have access to an old barn or stable, then that can make for an excellent backdrop and it would be great to see what opportunities there may be for capturing some black background images. The more battered and tatty the doors are, the better!
I can offer a black studio backdrop if you have enough space to set up a studio area. We can then mix up the whole shoot with some outdoor images and then some slightly more "posed" shots. The choice is yours.
If you'd like to get in touch to chat some more about a photo shoot I would love to hear from you.
Best wishes
Jayne
